Dandruff is a kind of skin condition that affects the scalp and results in an inflamed, itchy scalp and white flakes of dead skin. Dandruff is more common during winter. It is harmless and chronic, but sometimes results in more severe conditions known as seborrhoeic dermatitis

The clear cause is not known yet, but there are several genetic and environmental factors responsible for dandruff
White, oily flakes typically accumulate in your hair and on your shoulders and often get worse during the fall and winter months, when the air is dry

  • Be careful when using a dandruff shampoo that contains coal tar. Tar shampoo can discolor blonde, grey, or white hair. Tar shampoo also makes your scalp more sensitive to sunlight. If you use this type of dandruff shampoo
  • Always use a conditioner after using an anti-dandruff shampoo. The scalp becomes dry with  the use of anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner provides nourishment
